Located at the base of the famous Blue Hill Reservation, the Boston Minuteman Council developed the Egan Recreational Center through grants from the Richard J. Egan Foundation, the Yawkey Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America.
The Egan Center was developed as the flagship building for Camp Sayre, which serves youths and families from the Minuteman and other BSA Councils within Massachusetts. The Center includes recreation facilities, classrooms, nanatorium, administrative offices, and retail store. From the Egan Center gateway, scouts and visitors can enjoy many youth enrichment opportunities offered by Camp Sayer including STEM and COPE programs, orienteering/hiking within the Blue Hill Reservation, and overnight camping.
In addition to the Egan Center, Highpoint provides engineering and consulting support pro-bono to Camp Sayer for their facilities management.
