249 Third Street is a 5-story mixed-use building featuring 84 residential apartments and 1,540 square feet off ground-floor retail. Our challenge was with offsite infrastructure utility mitigation and improvements on three adjacent roadways. Working closely with our client, other team members and municipal agencies we prepared plans to upgrade water, sewer, natural gas and drainage infrastructure to service the project. Onsite, resiliency to 2070 flood events was taken into consideration when siting the  building’s finish floor and subsurface drainage infrastructure was engineered in fit into a tight urban space.  Overall, we provided planning, civil engineering and permitting services for this project.
