Doug Hartnett, Partner at Highpoint, served as project manager responsible for site/infrastructure planning and design to support the repositioning and expansion of Technology Square, a 1.6 million square foot office/R&D facility currently owned by MIT. Responsibilities included site/infrastructure evaluation to support the planned expansion of the campus, coordination of site design to provide vehicular/pedestrian connections to adjoining city blocks, design oversight of signalized intersection at Broadway, and coordination of building expansion, parking garage, buildings, courtyards, roads, and repositioning of utility infrastructure to conform with the master plan. Negotiations with Cambridge DPW for design and construction of stormwater management and sewer mitigation facilities on-site, including obtaining permits and approvals from the DPW and affiliated municipal departments.
